## Title

Reproduction request: Codex turn-diff checkpoint refs under refs/codex/turn-diffs/checkpoints/ may retain large git loose objects without upst

## Body

    What I found:
Codex Desktop creates refs under refs/codex/turn-diffs/checkpoints/ that store project tree snapshots as git objects in the repository .git directory.
Reporter measured 8476 loose objects totaling about 101.86 GiB via git count-objects -vH in a zero-commit repo whose refs were Codex checkpoint refs.

    Evidence:

    Still unknown:
Whether Codex Desktop or CLI will add automatic checkpoint GC or move checkpoints out of the user project .git in a future release.

    Useful next check:
Whether Codex Desktop or CLI will add automatic checkpoint GC or move checkpoints out of the user project .git in a future release.
