## Body

    What I found:
After VS Code 1.139.0, Agent Host appears to treat JSON-RPC -32601 (method not found) during an early MCP handshake probe against https://mcp.figma.com/mcp as a fatal server error immediately after OAuth, instead of continuing with legacy initialize and tools/list as on the reporter's prior build and as described for a related Copilot CLI regression where server/discover returned -32601.

    Evidence:
    https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/337391 · https://github.com/github/copilot-cli/issues/4870 · https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/specification/blob/main/schema/draft/schema.ts

    Still unknown:
Whether VS Code 1.139.0 Agent Host always calls server/discover (or another unimplemented method) before legacy initialize for HTTP MCP servers.

    Useful next check:
Whether VS Code 1.139.0 Agent Host always calls server/discover (or another unimplemented method) before legacy initialize for HTTP MCP servers.
