## Title

Reproduction request: Codex turn-diff checkpoint refs under refs/codex/turn-diffs/checkpoints/ may retain full project tree snapshots as git l

## Body

    What I found:
Codex turn-diff checkpoints are stored as git refs under refs/codex/turn-diffs/checkpoints/ pointing at tree snapshot objects.
Reporter on Codex Desktop 26.616.51431 measured about 102 GiB in 8476 loose git objects with checkpoint refs present and git count-objects -vH showing size about 101.86 GiB while size-pack was about 4.64 MiB.

    Still unknown:
Whether a shipped Codex release adds checkpoint garbage collection, .gitignore-aware snapshotting, or size limits.

    Useful next check:
Whether a shipped Codex release adds checkpoint garbage collection, .gitignore-aware snapshotting, or size limits.
