This is an external report; it was not reproduced by KFA. Reported conditions: the session was started with claude --remote-control (remoteControlAtStartup also set), used only from the desktop and mobile apps for several days with many turns, and /clear, /compact or auto-compact occurred a few times in the same process. The reporter says the terminal always shows the correct conversation and the work is unaffected; only the app view lags. No error message appears in the app or terminal. The reporter counts at least five occurrences since Oct 5 across three sessions (three on Oct 10), plus two in late August (https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/101015). Reporter observations from local transcripts: the bridgeSessionId stays the same across /clear, so pre- and post-clear conversations share one server session; in the latest case the process had run since Oct 8 and the server session had lastSequenceNum 4826. The reporter suspects the app replays stored history from an early point before catching up. This is the reporter's interpretation, not a maintainer-confirmed cause. The reporter also noted another short-lived CLI session on the same machine, auto-connected to Remote Control, connected and disconnected 2-4 minutes beforehand, and is unsure whether it is related (https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/101015). The reporter cites the Remote Control docs as saying that after /clear the conversation should reset on connected devices and after compaction they should show where it was compacted; the reported behavior contradicts that expectation (https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/101015). Mitigation status: the reporter says restarting the CLI process, which creates a new Remote Control session, always gives a clean view, and reconnecting Remote Control sometimes helps. This is a reporter-observed workaround, not verified by KFA, and restarting ends the running process. The issue is open with no supplied maintainer response, and no fix commit or released fix is identified.
