    When threaded draft creation fails, check drafts for a partial creation before retrying. Retry with the same intended recipient, subject and body but omit reply_message_id. Verified fallback can create a standalone draft; explicitly tell the user it is not attached to the original conversation. If continuity is essential, user can manually copy the draft content into a Gmail reply.
