## Body

    Recommended action: Server: keep the legacy shim enabled and serve legacy clients over a path that has a back-channel (sessionful legacy routing) or avoid MRTR-only handlers for legacy connections. Client: upgrade to a 2026-07-28 capable release when available.
    
    Option: Serve legacy clients through the legacy shim with a session [evidence: official_recommended_action]
    Applies when: TS SDK v2 servers that must support 2025-era clients using elicitation
    Steps:
    1. Leave ServerOptions.inputRequired.legacyShim at its default (enabled)
    2. Route legacy requests to a sessionful Streamable HTTP deployment (SDK legacy-routing example) or stdio so pushes can be delivered
    3. Test with a 2025-11-25 client
    Expected: Legacy clients receive elicitation/create pushes and the handler completes
