    Proposed fix: [LangChain langchain.mcp (langchain[mcp]>=1.4.0) replacing langchain-mcp-adapters] tool calls whose server requests sampling or roots raise NotImplementedError; get_prompt/get_resources

    Recommended action: Before migrating, inventory servers that use sampling/roots/prompts/resources; keep langchain-mcp-adapters for those or change the server to take paths as tool parameters and call LLM APIs directly.
    
    Option: Audit server features before migrating [evidence: official_recommended_action]
    Applies when: Projects moving off langchain-mcp-adapters
    Steps:
    1. List servers whose tools call sampling or roots, and any use of get_prompt/get_resources
    2. Keep those on langchain-mcp-adapters or refactor servers (paths as tool params, direct LLM calls)
    3. Migrate remaining servers to MCPAdapter
    Expected: No NotImplementedError at tool time
