## Body

    Recommended action: Keep middleware imports edge-safe (split an edge-compatible auth config from Node-only adapters), or on Next >=15.5 run middleware on the Node.js runtime; in Next 16 migrate middleware to proxy, which defaults to Node.js.
    
    Fix: Run request interception on Node runtime (Next >=15.5 / proxy in 16) [evidence: released_fix]
