What I found: With WT_SESSION set, Copilot CLI 1.0.93 shows the Set up terminal for multi-line input support modal after folder trust with 1. Yes preselected and the modal takes focus without a prior user keystroke. Typing a first prompt and pressing Enter while the modal is focused accepts Yes, adds a shift+enter sendInput binding to the global Windows Terminal settings.json, writes a timestamped backup, prints Updated Windows Terminal key bindings: added key binding for shift+enter, and the typed prompt is lost. Evidence: https://github.com/github/copilot-cli/issues/5074 · https://github.com/github/copilot-cli/issues/5007 Still unknown: Whether Copilot CLI versions other than 1.0.93 show the same preselected-Yes modal behavior under WT_SESSION. Useful next check: Whether Copilot CLI versions other than 1.0.93 show the same preselected-Yes modal behavior under WT_SESSION.
