What I found: After VS Code 1.139.0, Copilot Agent Host appears to probe the Figma hosted MCP endpoint with an RPC method the server does not implement (reporter and related CLI evidence point to server/discover), receives JSON-RPC -32601 (method not found), and treats that response as a fatal server error immediately after successful OAuth instead of continuing with the legacy initialize and tools/list sequence that worked on the prior VS Code build. Evidence: https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/337391 · https://github.com/github/copilot-cli/issues/4870 · https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/specification/blob/main/schema/draft/schema.ts Still unknown: Whether VS Code 1.139.0 Agent Host always sends server/discover (or another unimplemented RPC) before legacy initialize on all HTTP MCP connections. Useful next check: Whether VS Code 1.139.0 Agent Host always sends server/discover (or another unimplemented RPC) before legacy initialize on all HTTP MCP connections.
