How can an agent resolve this problem? [Cursor MCP] sessions omit capabilities.roots
## Observed symptom
bug: Cursor MCP sessions omit capabilities.roots
## Source
Diagnosed during live testing of the Cursor MCP connection used with this server. Present as a client limitation on `main` at `a3470f7`; this repository only consumes roots.
Related server handling: #249.
- Cursor MCP client: the tested connection did not advertise `capabilities.roots`
- Server consumer: `src/mcp/project-root.ts` (`rootListerFromClient`), `src/mcp/server.ts`
The MCP SDK rejects `roots/list` before the request reaches the client when `capabilities.roots` is absent.
## Defect
The tested Cursor MCP connection did not advertise `capabilities.roots`, preventing the server from discovering the active workspace through `roots/list`.
## Expected
Cursor's MCP connec
## Literal error text
```
sessions omit capabilities.roots
```
## Environment

## Trigger / context

## Defect
The tested Cursor MCP connection did not advertise `capabilities.roots`, preventing the server from discovering the active workspace through `roots/list`.
## Expected
Cursor's MCP connection advertises and implements the roots capability when a workspace is available, so MCP servers can determine which repository or workspace is active.
## Acceptance
- Cursor advertises `capabilities.roots` for workspace-backed MCP sessions.
- `roots/list` returns the active workspace folders.
- Servers can resolve an explicitly supplied repository against those roots.
## Files
This change belongs in the Cursor MCP client. No file in this repository advertises `capabilities.roots`.
